Research Analyst

Position Overview

C-Suite Consulting has an opportunity for a Research Analyst to join our team. Position Summary

The Research Analyst will conduct in-depth planning research, policy analysis, critical data analysis, as well as support community engagement efforts and assist with drafting written reports. The ideal candidate will assist with identifying trends, outliers, gaps, opportunities, and conflicts in data. Under the direction of the Chief Strategist, the Analyst will complete novel research, and contribute to the creation of papers, trainings, and other resources on a variety of equity and justice topics of importance to urban areas. The Analyst will also provide ongoing support for the logistical management of assigned projects, including preparing for meetings, conference calls, and webinars, as well as supporting and coordinating with partners. 


Given the nature of equity and justice work, the ideal candidate must have a passion for public sector service and community engagement. Our clients and constituencies vary greatly by project, so ideal candidates must be able to engage diverse audiences with integrity, consistency, and professionalism. Initially, this position will be 100% Remote Work so the ability to be disciplined, work well independently with deadlines, exercise sound judgment,  and be internally motivated is critical.

  • Have the ability to be flexible/available during C-Suite business hours, work well under pressure, problem solve, work well both independently and in a team environment, and adjust to C-Suite Consulting needs (e.g. software, processes, etc.) as a growing company. 





  • Conducts background policy research and analysis with the ability to synthesize findings, identify trends, and recommend solutions based on best practices.

  • Develops, formats, and prepares reports, charts, and/or graphs for relevant documents as well as prepares and presents project updates (written and oral) internally and externally.

  • Employs strong analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze and succinctly explain significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Creates presentations and reports based on best practices and and findings.


  • Extracts and aggregates data across existing and new databases, information sources, project data (i.e. survey responses, public comments, etc.), and other available data sources. 

  • Cleans data for consistency and accuracy in recording and verifies data quality, and structures data sets for ease of use. 

  • Conducts and creates data standardization processes, proactively identifies challenges, and proposes solution alternatives to improve the stability, performance, and accuracy of data.

  • Develops appropriate data visualizations for diverse stakeholders and partners.

  • Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and software, and provides ongoing reports to share findings and recommendations. 


Project Management

  • Effectively tracks assigned project status, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Completes summary project reports/updates as assigned.

  • Performs other project duties as assigned.




  • A Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years of experience working with quantitative and qualitative data analysis or a Master’s degree is required. Experience in equity, justice, Public Policy, Urban Planning and/or Equitable Development, and/or research setting preferred.

  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Mac Systems.

  • Intermediate level experience preparing data sets and data analysis and ability to read and interpret complex materials and perform data cleaning. Strong understanding of databases, analytical tools, and concepts needed.

  • Strong experience with Excel including the ability to perform and use data visualization software, such as Tableau is required; experience with SPSS or other statistical software is preferred.
